IBB expresses happiness over the achievements recorded by NIPR @ 60

The Former military President of Nigeria,General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida have underscored the performance of NIPR and charged them to rewrite the narrative trying to provide a better society for Nigeria.
Babangida made the commendation when the institute led by it’s governing council paid a courtesy visit to his uphill manson who cut the Institute 60th diamond anniversary celebration cake in Minna.
The Former Military President Babangida expressed happiness over the achievements so far recorded by the institute noted that he is proud as the institute is leaving to the expectations of the people of Nigeria, urging for sustainability.
In an interview, the national president of NIPR, Dr Ike Neiliaku disclosed that the NIPR has grown from officers to management function but the dynamics has changed as Public Relations now a leadership function hence the increase in values of PR for strategic effective communication.
He role out some of the institute plans and scorecard to include establishment of PR and Leadership university to be located in Nassarawa state, identified Nigerian challenges as a project, rebirth. Citizens and value reorientation, promote made in Nigeria goods, promote service delivery, create museum national leadership and icon as well Nigerian reputation house among others.
The minister of information and national orientation, Alhaji Muhammad Idris Malagi represented by the Director General of Voice Of Nigeria VON, Jibrin Ndace assured of sustainable partnership with the NIPR in achieving the national value chain policy of the federal government.
Earlier, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has applauded the foresight of the Former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida for signing 1990 decree that gave birth to the chartered of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations NIPR in the country.
He made this known while receiving the team of NIPR national governing council at government house Minna after a road walk to mark it’s diamond 60th Year Anniversary Celebration with the theme: Safeguarding the Environment of Nigeria held in the Niger state capital.
Represented by the State Head of Service HOS, Engineer Abubakar Salisu reaffirmed the commitment for a safe environment prioritized hence the ongoing one million tree planting campaign in the state.
The governor noted that the state is embarking on agricultural revolution to ensure food security in the country while urging the NIPR to assist the state in propagating the New Niger Agenda.
The President of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations NIPR, Dr Ike Neiliaku stated that the organization is 60 years established in 1963 however lamented over the deforestation hence we most do all they can to save the environment, keep sustainability and conscious of the environmental mess to save and restore nature of the the future.
Dr Ike Neiliaku explained that the event is going on simultaneously across the country while in Minna, the Niger State Chapter of NIPR during it’s flag off ceremony also planted 60 trees at the 3 arm Zone as part of an effort to protect the environment to mark the day.
The team led by the national president further paid courtesy visit to the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago to seek his royal blessings appreciated NIPR for their recognition of the traditional institutions in the country, calling for commitment, dedication and focus in attaining their vision.
