Nupe language and culture will not go extinction as it promotes dignity and well- being-Jerry Gana.

Former Minister of information and orientation, Professor Jerry Gana, said the importance of culture and language can not be over emphasised as it promotes dignity and well-being of the society.
Professor Gana was speaking last Sunday at Bida Niger state as the Chairman board of trustee of reprinted version of NUPE Bible translation held at the Cathedral Church of Anglican Diocese Bida.
He said,he is delighted that the initial Nupe Bible translation years back in 18 Centuries have now been updated to the latest Nupe language level for the understanding and spread of the Gospel.
“I joined all the Bishops and other Church leaders that gathered here to celebrate this day in the presentation of NUPE Bible, good News (Labari Wangi) adding that it is a proud to be associated with this laundable achievement”.
“I therefore congratulatulates all NUPE speaking be it Christian or Muslim that Nupe language is well established, well coded and well written which will never go extinction or die a natural death”Professor Gana re-enphasised.
He appreciates all the agencies particularly the groups from the Uk for there financial supports, the Bible Society of Nigeria and Nupe Christian Literature that work hard to crosschecked every bits of words for producing a clean final copy of NUPE updated Bible translation.
Also at the occasion the Bishop of Bida Anglican Diocese, Bishop Jonah Kolo, said the ceremony is to enable all NUPE speaking to read the Bible through their mothers tongue to broaden their knowledge to know God more at their personal levels.
” The Church is built from the world of God, therefore it is the responsibility of the Church to make the world of God available for everyone to read to know the mind of God and gained salvation.” Bishop reinterated.
