NUT : Head Teachers warned to refund all money collected from Teachers to facilitates documentation or face deciplinary action.

Nigeria Union of Teachers,Niger State chapter has frowned in strong terms the way some Primary school teachers are been subjected to payment of three hundred naira ‘N300’ being cost implications for photocopy of their promotion notification letter by their head teachers.

NUT in a Press statement made available to Newsmen in Minna jointly signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Akayago Adamu Mohammed and Comrade Labaran Garba, Principal Assistant Secretary General, said the attention of the Union was drawned to the social media report that some Primary school teachers are been charged three hundred naira by some head teachers to facilitates the documentation of their promotion notification letters recently released by  NSUBEB.

The Nigeria Union of Teachers in the statement warmed in strong terms that any official of the Union or Head teachers involved in the act would be dealt with in accordance to the provision of the union constitution.

The union further directed Nigeria Union of Teachers,Chanchaga local government Branch to refund all money collected in the name of photocopies to the affected teachers and submit a formal report of compliance to the union State wing secretariat on or before Wednesday 5th September,2023.

The union then called on its members at both primary and post primary schools in the state to as a matter of concern  always report shoddy behavior of the Union officials directly to the state wing secretariat.

‘ I therefore caution both teachers and head teachers to remain guided’,the statement added.
