PASAN NIGER STATE CHAPTER TO EMBARK ON INDUSTRIAL ACTION OVER NON-PAYMENT OF OUTFIT ALLOWANCE, OTHERS.
Niger State Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria has threatened to embark on an industrial action if the government refused to pay their outfit allowance and other benefits due to them.
The resolution was made during the association’s Congress meeting held at the state assembly chamber, minna.
The association chairman, comrade Mohammed Yunusa Salis who presided over the Congress, expressed dissatisfaction over government’s neglect to pay their outfit allowance and also implement their salary structure since 2011.
Salis also said that some of the assembly staff have been removed from legislative duty allowance for 3years now and effort to returned them back has proven abortive.
He therefore called on the present administration to pay the assembly staff their entitlement on or before midnight Tuesday 16th of May, 2023. Or be faced with an industrial action.
He further added that if nothing is done to address their challenges, assembly staff and even the contractors working inside the assembly complex will not be allowed in the premises.
