Bagudu appeal to Teacher’s to vote APC Candidates.

By Ahmadu Baba Idris Burning Kebbi..

Ahead of the Saturday Governorship and State Assembly elections, Kebbi State Governor Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has appeal to the all members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (Nut) in the state to really round and  vote their member in this coming Saturday Governorship and state House of Assembly election.

He made this called yesterday while addressing a marmmoth crowd of both serving and retired Teachers in the State, adding that their vote can determine the love they have for their union and the candidates as the former National president of the Nigeria Union of Teachers.

He stressed that there is needs for the teachers in the state to elect Dr.Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) as the next Governor of Kebbi State.

” you see this 65 years retirement age for teachers which was fought by the APC Governorship candidate  would be signed into law before the expiration of his tenure if elected adding that no fewer than 1291 Schools were given 200,000 Naira each as  grant to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the state” he said.

Bagudu also expressed appreciation to the good people of Kebbi state for voting the President elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu .”the block of votes he got from the North was a collective agreement which was made between the North and South,  am also with the hope and confidence that Bola Ahmed Tinubu would take the country to the greater heights irrespective of party, religion and ethnic  affiliations.

Speaking earlier, the APC DG campaign and the former Kebbi State Governor Alhaji  Sa’idu Usman Dakingari applauded the foresight of the Union for  endorsing and supporting their former National President Dr.Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) for the Governorship position and further tasks them not to relent.

He therefore, urges all Kebbi state NUT executives and the entire Teachers to go back to their  respective homes and work acidiously for the success of the party in the forthcoming  Governorship and State Assembly elections.

“let me also tell you that this journey is not for Teachers alone,it  includes all civil servants in the state.”

He pointed out that, the large number of teachers and civil servants  in the state can be a  determining factor in the outcome of the election “so when you vote the right candidate you will continue to rest in the next four or eight years” he said.

Responding, the APC Governorship candidate Dr.Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) said he was extremely delighted being part of the Teaching profession, assuring them that if elected they should expect more  achievement and improvement in the profession and civil service shall receive priority of his administration as Governor.

“before my emergency as the NUT National President I seek for your  support and opinions but this time around the struggle is for all of us we need to go out collectively and claim this victory” he added.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Union Alhaji Abubakar Bala Gado Kamba also identified some potential and leadership qualities in Dr. Nasir Kaura.

He said that Kebbi State would be safe in the hands of the Comrade Idris who has been fighting  for the cause of teacher in Nigerian for the past 30 years.

“am very optimistic that if elected he will definitely delivered and provide the dividend of Democracy to the people of the state as well as boast the  economic base of the state”.
